Kazakhstan is one of our key destinations, and customs clearance here has long been fine-tuned. Below is the general scheme of the process. Exact rates depend on the type of vehicle, engine displacement and year of manufacture, so we always calculate the final estimate for your specific unit.
Which documents are prepared in advance
Import requires the export invoice, the vehicle title, the ocean bill of lading and the package of export papers from Canada. We arrange all of this at the shipping stage — the client doesn't need to gather anything manually.
What the payment consists of
Customs value, duty, recycling fee and VAT are the main components. The amount depends on the vehicle category and engine characteristics. We calculate the full estimate before purchase, so that you understand the final turnkey budget rather than learning about surcharges at the port.
Port, temporary storage warehouse and processing
After arrival the vehicle passes through a temporary storage warehouse, where the declaration is filed and the payments are made. We accompany the processing and stay in touch with the broker so the process runs without downtime.
Registration
The final step is registration. We advise on the order of actions and hand over the full set of documents required for registration in Kazakhstan.
