The Canadian market is built for a harsh climate and long distances. What sells as an expensive option in Europe — all-wheel drive, heating for everything that can be heated, powerful engines — is often standard in Canada. Pickups and large SUVs come in top-tier versions here that simply aren't brought to the EU.
The same car costs less
Thanks to market volume and exchange-rate differences, a comparable vehicle in Canada often costs less than in Europe — even with delivery and customs clearance factored in. This is especially noticeable on pickups, large SUVs and BRP vehicles (Can-Am, Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo).
Transparent history
Canada has a strong service culture and transparent history through Carfax. Re-stamped VINs and "wound-back" odometers are markedly rarer than on the used market of some European countries. You see the real history before you buy.
BRP vehicles — from the brand's homeland
Can-Am, Ski-Doo and Sea-Doo are made in Quebec. Buying them in Canada means taking the vehicle straight from its home factory, without distributor markups and in original specifications.
